Women's Empowerment Retreats:

A Journey to Your True Self, Sovereignty, and Sacred Connection

What Are Women's Empowerment Retreats?

More than just a getaway

Women's empowerment retreats offer more than just a getaway for female-identified individuals; they create an opportunity for you to come back to your true essence through an exploration of who you truly are and who you desire to be.

All-women retreats can be hosted anywhere in the world, from fun destinations like Southern France, Hawaii, Costa Rica, and Mexico to serene spots nestled in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, along the coastlines of California, or in cozy community centers in your neighborhood.

No matter where these women-only retreats take place, they are meant to offer a unique blend of personal reflection, community healing, self-love, and empowerment, to support women ready to embrace their fullest Self.

What’s the difference between them?

Every retreat is unique and different. They can be half or full day retreats or expand over multiple days or even weeks, and you can find them online, in-person, or a mix of the two.

Some have a wellness retreat focus, where you might experience clean eating and detox from processed foods, social media, and the stressors of life by incorporating daily yoga and massage. Others might cultivate a more indulgent feel, where you have delicious foods and treats, lounge in pleasure and delight, while engaging in lots of spaciousness for rest.

You can also find empowering sacred feminine retreats where you talk about the alchemy of being a woman and weave in divine feminine archetypes, or walk the priestess path lined with rose medicine, share astrology while sitting around a sacred fire, find serenity with nature, and so much more.

how do you choose with so many Types of retreats out there?

When I design my retreats, I carefully craft them to be deeply intentional and honor that each experience is unique both in the energies, activities, and intentions I set as a facilitator, and by each participant that comes.

One recommendation I have for choosing which retreat is right for you is take the time to think about what you are looking to receive from the experience and perhaps what you want to do while on retreat. If you don’t know what the people are talking about, or what a practice or activity is, look it up. These tend to be spaces of learning and self-discovery, so you will most likely be experiencing new things.

Just a few practices and elements you might experience at women's empowerment retreats:

  • self-care skills, self-love practices, and workshops

  • altar crafting, rituals, and ceremony

  • breathwork journeys & guided meditations

  • movement and somatic practices to open your body, mind and voice (ex: yoga, dance, & expression)

  • sound healing baths, cleansing energy

  • massage and relaxation

  • time in nature hiking, forest bathing, or sacred fires

  • nourishing food and communal meals

  • psychedelic or transcendental experiences

  • creative expression and play through art, writing, or making things

  • music, drumming, singing, & sound creation

  • solo introspection, reflection, journaling

  • group processing and learning to share authentically with others in a safer space

  • craft practices like tarot, astrology, human design, herbalism, and more

  • community and sisterhood bonding, feelings of belonging, laughter & connection

So many elements go into creating a women’s retreat, and each one is uniquely crafted by the facilitators to create an overall wellness retreat that tends to the mind, bodies, spirits, and souls of its participants.

What if I don’t know what I’m looking for?

You might not know what you are looking for, and that’s okay. I remember my first retreat, I didn’t quite know what I was getting myself into, but I trusted the facilitator and went for it anyway with an open, curious mind. Here are a few tips to help you as you research and discover the right retreat for you:

  • Reading through the retreat descriptions will help you get a feel for the energies of the retreat.

  • Learn about the facilitator or facilitators and see if you connect with them as individuals.

  • Try visualizing yourself in the space and see whether that feels exciting or edgy to you.

  • Explore with curiosity; is there something you’d like to explore, try, or learn about?

No matter where the retreat takes place or what energies are woven into it, or how intentionally crafted the space is by the facilitators, one incredibly important element of all retreats are how YOU show up. If you go into it with an open mind and curious heart, you’re in for a transformative ride.

The Transformative Power of
Women's Empowerment Retreats

Let’s dive a little deeper into all the juicy energies that you might find at Women’s Empowerment Retreats, and why they’re such powerful tools for personal transformation.

A Sanctuary for Healing, Holistic Well-Being, and sacred Remembering

When we can get away from the demands of everyday life - work, home, family, friends, stress, and chaos - and put everything aside, it makes it easier to hear the truth of our own hearts. One reason why retreats are held in beautiful, nourishing environments is because they allow us to relax from the constant management of daily life, so we can be with ourselves while being tended to, cared for, and held.

The containers created are meant to help us feel safe in our bodies so we can witness, love, accept and integrate all parts of ourselves - setting down the labels and identities we walked in with, while transforming the beliefs, wounds, and societal constrictions that have been imposed and carried for lifetimes. This is a space where permission is granted for us to explore and be ALL of ourselves.

Do you desire a more authentic life for yourself? Women's Empowerment Retreats can support you on this.

How Do I cultivate this in my retreats and spaces?

  • Creating an Agreement-Based and Consent Culture: I begin every gathering by reviewing the logistics and agreements for the container we are co-creating, so everyone has an understanding as to what we’ll be doing, and can actively participate in creating the culture in how we will all show up, engage, and act throughout our time together. Consent is required - every yes is celebrated, and every no is sacred.

  • Continually Grow as a Facilitator: I believe that facilitators who continually engage in their own deep, personal work are better equipped to support your journey. It is my commitment as a Priestess to actively walk my path of sacred remembering, to continuously learn, stay curious, and enhance my skills to better support others. Facilitators who are well-versed in trauma-informed practices and prioritize equity advocacy can create safer, braver environments for all bodies and nervous systems to process what has been waiting under the surface, and feel truly seen, witnessed, and heard by ourselves and others.

  • Embodying and celebrating personal sovereignty.

Embodying Personal Sovereignty

Let’s start with, what is personal sovereignty?? Personal sovereignty means having control and agency over your own life, body, voice, needs, and claiming the truth of who you are. Think of it as a rebellious act of self-love that that challenges any systems, norms, people, or beliefs that have kept you small or tried to diminish your power as a human being.

A foundational element woven into my women's empowerment retreats is that through an agreement-based culture that celebrates consent, loving-kindness, mutual respect, and empowerment that encourages each other to live and speak in our honest truth, we learn how to embody and reclaim our own voice. We learn how good it feels to celebrate and be celebrated in honoring the holy "yes" and sacred "no" of each person, and build a stronger community rooted in respect and trust.

These style retreats invite you to explore what it feels like to live authentically. Being authentic means showing up as your true self, without masks or pretending, so we can embrace the full spectrum of experiences with honesty and courage. Through curated self-love ceremonies, honoring self-care practices, and building empowerment skills, you’re encouraged to reclaim who you are while being lovingly held in a circle of empowered sisters.

Find belonging in sisterhood and reconnection with yourself

Central to a women's empowerment retreat is the transformative potential for healing old wounds connected to sisterhood, motherhood, and the various layers of what it’s like to be a woman in this world. No matter what our background is, where we come from, or how we look as women, we can connect through the truth that everything is medicine. Sometimes the mere presence of another woman acts as a mirror for us, reflecting back the unacknowledged (and sometimes, very acknowledged) wounds we carry - and can reveal stories of feeling “too much” or “not enough”, or like we don’t belong. These stories often stem from sister wounds or mother wounds, where the pain of past betrayals, misunderstandings, or competitions left a mark on our ability to connect and trust.

In these spaces, we find an invaluable opportunity to rewrite the old stories and beliefs that have shaped our relationships with women.

My hope is for us to come together in sisterhood, to discover new ways of relating to ourselves and other women. In doing so, we can embrace the potent healing that comes from being supported by unconditional love, sovereign empowerment, and the deep understanding that we are all worthy of being seen, loved, and supported — affirming that we do belong.

Find belonging in sisterhood at women's empowerment retreats

Building trust is paramount for any type of healing and self-discovery work, and women’s retreats can create space to explore this work with well-guided containers. In these communal healing environments, participants discover that they can redefine what sisterhood means, nurturing a sense of belonging and strengthening new ways of being in relationship with other women—ways that are healthy, supportive, and rooted in trust.

In these spaces, we remember that we belong, exactly as we are, and celebrate our imperfections, vulnerabilities, and unique stories. Together, we co-create a new narrative of sisterhood—one that heals and uplifts, honoring each individual on their journey towards empowerment, while collectively weaving tapestry of belonging and mutual support that we can carry with us on our path.
